Amber Orchard

I am my own Meyer lemon.

There are lemons growing on the eighth floor of the Whitney Museum. Meyer lemons, forming their round little bodies on a tree just outside of the elevator. They’re still green, not ripe yet, but hanging, waiting, until it’s time to let go.
