Waldo + Marsha forever, but also a gift guide!

One of my favorite Velvet Underground songs is “The Gift,” which is a long ballad about a man, Waldo Jeffers, who misses his girlfriend Marsha and mails himself to her, only to have her stab it open and murder him. Is it an anti-capitalist manifesto? Just a sad tale of doomed romance? Who can say! Usually, however, gifting is a lot more fun.
